Our Story

Once upon a time....

....there was a winding lane that led to a place where little white fluffy dogs played and froliced everyday in the sunshine. They were never bound in a kennel. These little whimsical creatures lived in a house filled with love and joy of these little Coton cuties but this was not always the case. There was a time when there were no little white fluffy dogs to grace the doorstep.

Here is where the story of Whispering Lane begins… on a day just like any other day Joyce was working in her optical shop when in walked a friendly woman with a beautiful white dog. Joyce fell in love with the woman’s little dog and decided she had to have one of her own. Joyce searched over the whole countryside. Until a year later she found her first Coton, Bria. Bria’s playful spirit and adorable face soon won over not only Joyce’s heart but the heart of her sister and parents as well. Before long there were little white whimsical dogs running all over the place.

The whole family enjoyed showing off their beautiful dogs in rings and receiving a beautiful array of colored ribbons, taking their dogs to class to teach them to be good citizens and visiting nursing homes and schools where their little dogs charmed all the people. They also joined breed clubs and attended workshops and seminars to learn more about their fluffy little dogs so they could share with others how to take care of their little fluffy white dogs.

Life was good but the family wanted more. They wanted to share their lively bundles of joy with others. So Joyce became a breeder, working to breed healthy, soundly structured and well socialized puppies with those who find these little hypoallergenic, non-shedding dogs enchanting. And we would like to share with you too.
